Children’s Ministry

The McGill Children’s Ministry is made up of children in Pre-School through 5th grade. After 5th grade, children will move into our Youth Program. We welcome all children into our program and strive to help them grow at their developmental level! We would love to have you join our “Mini Ministries” any time!

We believe that all children are called by God to discover their gifts and use them in servant leadership, worship, and discipleship. Our words and actions are rooted in God’s love.

Weekly Children’s Opportunities at McGill:

Wednesday Evening (Grades K-5th only)
6:00 – 6:30 Children’s Music
6:30 – 7:00 Bible Study
7:00 – 8:00 Monitored Free Time

Sunday Morning (all ages PreK – 5th)
10:00 – 10:15 Worship and Children’s Time in our Sanctuary with our Congregation
10:15 – 11:00 Children’s Church

During Children’s Church, children leave the sanctuary with our staff to participate in bible-based learning activities on our children’s hall. We read stories, play games, create art and play together.

Special Children’s Opportunities at McGill:
Our children participate in a variety of fun extra activities throughout the year that help strengthen bonds and develop healthy friendships! Each summer we host a week-long Vacation Bible School program in collaboration with our Learning Center and New Life Baptist Concord. We celebrate an annual Friendsgiving Dinner, Christmas Craft Night, and Easter Egg Hunt. Children are also invited to a variety of day trips and evening meetups – snowtubing, mini golf, movie nights, pool parties and more!

Missions:

Throughout the year, our group partners with the Youth Ministry to serve at 1Can of Cabarrus County. They sort and stock non-perishable foods, pack snack bags for Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City schools, and pack hygiene kits for unsheltered people in the community.
