For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve.

  1. We look for and reach out to serve local needs.
  2. We support and send volunteers to national and international opportunities.
  3. We serve a small group of local people who have been diagnosed as HIV positive.
  4. We show no prejudice, bias, or discrimination.

PURPOSE: Be an active working Christian church organization that works to serve as directed by the example of Jesus Christ’s teachings and to show that our church loves its neighbors through its service.

ON GOING MISSIONS

  1. Food on the First (collect food for local food pantry) for Cooperative Christian Ministry https://cooperativeministry.com/
  2. Support the PLC School who provides special opportunities for those who may not fit in with the local school system. https://plc.cabarrus.k12.nc.us/
  3. Esthers Heart (collection of peanut butter, crackers, non-perishable meat), for local school children who have need of food at home. This fits with other organizations who collect different food items. https://www.esthersheart.com/
  4. HIV positive families are provided paper, cleaning, supplies, and especially Boost or Ensure.
  5. We support missionaries in Ukraine, Lebanon, and Spain. In the past, teams have been sent to work with them.

Special Opportunities we support financially:

  1. Local and national emergencies such as fires, floods, etc.
  2. We have served a meal for Social Services employees.
  3. Coat collections
  4. Habitat For Humanity https://www.habitatcabarrus.org/
  5. Worked with DSS to collect food and toys for Christmas and Thanksgiving.
  6. Collect school supplies for the beginning of school so those children can have what they need to make learning easier.
  7. Loan the land for a Community Garden.
